GABAN CABIN
- PROJECT NAME GABAN CABIN
- LOCATION RIZE / TURKEY
- YEAR 2025
Building Gross Area: 160 m2
This contemporary residence is positioned in direct response to its sloped terrain, with an angular footprint inspired by the directional geometry of the Black Sea mountains. The building settles naturally into the landscape, forming a dynamic yet balanced architectural composition.
The architectural massing is organized through three channels that direct the building toward the sunrise and panoramic views. Material choices reinterpret local and traditional construction references through a contemporary palette of white surfaces, natural wood, and stone. Large vertical windows and generous terraces strengthen the relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.
Inside, the house is organized around an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area enriched by double-height spaces and abundant natural light. Vertical circulation and structural elements add spatial depth, while private areas are arranged to ensure comfort and privacy.
Overall, the project presents a refined contemporary language that emphasizes environmental integration, material harmony, and functional clarity.
